A: Sandcastle Group is an independently owned and operated franchise of Four Seasons Solar Products LLC. We are consistently one of the manufacturer's top 25 franchises, with the largest group of trained installation experts. Since 1997, the franchise has continued to successfully grow at an annual rate of 50%. Like its modular home and addition business, Sandcastle Group's sunroom business focuses on combining premium products and selection with the highest level of service.
Q: Why would a homeowner build a sunroom addition to a house?
A: The major reason for building a sunroom is that sunrooms provide the homeowner with additional space and a feeling of "outdoor living, indoors." Homeowners quickly find their Four Seasons sunroom to be the favorite room in the house.
Q: How many different styles of sunrooms do you offer? How creative can the homeowner get with designing a custom sunroom?
A: From Victorian and From Victorian and Georgian conservatories, to great room and traditional straight eave styles, the range of sunroom alternatives is vast. Sandcastle Group offers 17 different models and 100 standard sizes of sunrooms, with an array of decorative and functional options. There are three basic construction styles to choose from: the cost effective Easy Living Series made of aluminum interiors and exteriors; the Elegant Living Series featuring wood interiors; and the new Ultra Living Series, which features maintenance-free vinyl. Each offers a wide variety of window and door options as well as solid and glass roof styles.
Q: How do sunrooms hold up during inclement weather? Do you ever experience leakage during the rain and wind?
A: Four Seasons' exclusive "CONSERVAGLASS PLUS™" with Stay-Clean technology windows stay cleaner longer and the tremendous solar control allows the addition to be used like any other room in the home in terms of heating and cooling. Sunrooms used to be considered "hot houses" because of the overheating effects during the summer. We no longer even carry shades for solar control because of the excellent properties of the glass. Another feature is the beauty of "Kleen Koat" for ease of maintenance.
Q: How safe are Sandcastle Group's sunrooms? Can the CONSERVAGLASS PLUS™ withstand heavy impacts?
A: All the glass in a sunroom is safety tempered and designed to meet wind and snow loads. In fact, the sunrooms are designed to meet Florida's strict new code for hurricanes. They are even designed to hold more snow and wind load than the average stick-built home, meeting every applicable building code.
Q: Can sunrooms function as year-round rooms?
A: Four Seasons sunrooms are year round rooms - the CONSERVAGLASS PLUS™ controls temperatures in all seasons, unlike competitive products. Four Seasons sunrooms are built so that the homeowner can customize it to their liking, with the ability to install heat or air conditioning like any other home addition.
Q: How long does installation take?
A: Easy and Ultra Living sunrooms can be built in 2-5 days once site work is complete. Elegant Living sunrooms require 2-3 weeks of installation. Lead times from the factory vary from 3 to 8 weeks.
